The faculty, music repertoire, and friends!

Can't beat the professors we had, and I loved how much time was dedicated to studying with them! Music selection and performance venue was an incredible experience, and our free days at the Getty (and for us Yosemite as well) were great!

The most special moment was to play side by side with amazing faculty members.

Performing alongside my teachers in Disney hall was unforgettable.

The sense of community and working hard towards a collective goal, the quality of the faculty, and the all-around sense of integrity made FOOSA a stand-out experience.

Special: Exploring new techniques that I can apply to my own playing in addition to my students’ playing. Also, the friends I have made from literally around the globe that I will have for a lifetime!

The instrumental faculty made FOOSA so worthwhile. The lessons and sectionals we received from the faculty were invaluable and inspiring. Also the other participants were wonderful.

I met a lot of amazing people and went to new places and played some of the best music I've ever played.

Playing with amazing musicians from all over the world! The most diverse year yet.

Special: The private lessons with teachers and personal interaction with students around the world who had the same passion.

What was special for me was not only performing difficult music, but doing so at the Disney Concert Hall. It was such an incredible experience and I enjoyed it so much. I also learned SO much from my private lesson teachers. Every minute was a great use of my time and helped me become a better musician, making the whole festival very much worth it.

Making incredible friendships that will last much longer than just during the camp in such a short period of time.

The opportunity to connect with and interact with very talented musicians and professionals from all over the world.

FOOSA is inspiring because everyone works together to give students the best possible musical experience. The support amongst faculty is also special.

The growth I had as a musician within the two weeks.

think the most special part of FOOSA was the concert at Disney Hall in Los Angeles. The energy and connection between the audience and the musicians was heavily significant for the experience.
