FOOSA 2025 FEES AND DEADLINES

FOOSA PHILHARMONIC DEADLINES

  • March 1st: Applications including videos must be submitted to Acceptd.

  • March 15-20th You will be notified of your application status: accepted, waitlist, not accepted

  • April 15th: Registration must be submitted with your $250 non-refundable fee

  • June 1st: Balance for tuition and any other applicable fees (instrument rental, early arrival or extended dorm stay, etc)

  • June 14th: Arrive in Fresno. Dorm check-in.

FEES FOR FOOSA PHILHARMONIC

  • Application fee: $75

  • Non-refundable registration fee (if accepted into the program): $250

  • Tuition for FOOSA Philharmonic: $1,725 (two-week program includes daily private lessons, concerto competition, orchestra rehearsals, sectionals, recital opportunities, and concerts including an overnight tour)

  • Dorm fee is an additional $600; FOOSA participants stay at Fresno State Student Housing (Fresno State dormitories)

  • In order to keep tuition as low as possible, meals are not included. FOOSA does offer several event meals during the festival—Meals can be purchased à la carte in the Fresno State Dining Hall, and there are microwaves, fridges , and a fully equipped community kitchen in the dorms. There are also many restaurants within walking distance of the university.

PAYMENT DUE DATES

  • At time of application: Non-refundable Application Fee, paid via Acceptd. (Application fee is in addition to tuition, room, board.)

  • Non-refundable registration deposit of $250 is to be paid no later than seven (7) days after acceptance into the FOOSA Philharmonic or by April 15, whichever is later.

  • June 1st: Balance due: Payment can be made by ACH, check, or credit card (please note that payment by credit card will be assessed a 3.5% fee)

FEES FOR FOOSA HALF-DAY PROGRAM (day students only—no residency offered)

  • application fee: $75

  • tuition for FOOSA Half-Day: $625 (two-week program includes daily group lessons, orchestra experience, sectionals and additional coaching, recital opportunities, and final concert)

  • EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: APPLY BY APRIL 12 (by 11:59pm PST on Saturday, April 1) AND YOUR TUITION WILL BE ONLY $525!

PAYMENT DUE DATES

  • At time of application: Nonrefundable Application Fee of $75.

  • Seven (7) days after acceptance into FOOSA Half-Day or by May 1, whichever is later: non-refundable tuition deposit of half your tuition amount $297.50 ($247.50 for earlybird registrants)—pay by check or card, note that card will be assessed the 3.5% fee

  • June 1: Balance due: Payment by check or credit card (card will be assessed a 3.5% fee)

Note: there will be no refunds of any kind (except for documented medical emergencies) after June 1. 

FELLOWSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND TUITION ASSISTANCE: COMPLETE YOUR FOOSA APPLICATION BY MARCH 15 (by 11:59p PST on APRIL 1) FOR FELLOWSHIP CONSIDERATION
For our FOOSA Philharmonic program we offer fellowship packages, full and partial, for advanced students of college and/or graduate school age, or beyond. Fellowship recipients are chosen on the basis of merit. They must be at least 18 years of age and should complete their FOOSA applications by no later than MARCH 15.  Eligibility will be decided on the basis of submitted audition videos and teacher recommendations. 

We also offer need-based tuition assistance for both the FOOSA Philharmonic and our FOOSA Half-Day program. Apply early to access these awards.

OVERALL SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS

Non-Refundable Application Fee
The application fee is due when application is submitted. Your application will not be considered without the application fee.

Tuition Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total tuition is due by seven days after receipt of acceptance or by May 1, whichever is later. 

Balance Due
Tuition balance is due June 1.  Payments can be made at any time via our secure website or mailed to FOOSA, 2503 W. Shaw Ave #103 Fresno, CA 93711.

No refunds of any kind will be issued (except in cases of documented medical emergencies) after June 1.
