We are delighted that you would like to join us this summer! Remember that this summer’s offerings are LIMITED CAPACITY and ONLY FOR STRINGS. And only for students of high-school and/or college age.
What? 2021 FOOSA LITE String Orchestra
Where? Fresno State music buildings
When? June 21-26, 2021, Monday – Saturday: Daily Orchestra Rehearsals: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM; 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Repertoire? Sergei Lyapunov Piano Sextet, Op.63; Ernest Bloch, Concerto Grosso No.1, B.59
How much? $450 for the entire six-day session
Deadline? Application deadline is Friday June 4, 2021, at 11:59pmPST (applications received after the deadline will be considered if spaces remain unfilled)
Our final project as an orchestra will be a video, instead of a live performance, so as to stay within Fresno State health guidelines.

Here are your instructions for applying to the FOOSA LITE SUMMER 2021 STRING ORCHESTRA PROGRAM.
REQUIRED AUDITION VIDEO(S)
Record a video in which you perform two contrasting pieces or movements (one lyrical, one more technical). If you have only one piece prepared, just record that one. No professional videography is required. A video recorded with a smartphone or computer will be good enough. UPLOADING YOUR VIDEOS TO YOUTUBE: It's easy and free. If you need step-by-step instructions, you can click here for a video version, or click here for a regular print version. Note that the video version does not mention that you will want to select the "unlisted" option when saving your videos to YouTube. PLEASE DO THIS!
SELECT "UNLISTED" WHEN SAVING YOUR VIDEO. You can then easily send us links, but your videos will not be public.
REQUIRED $20 APPLICATION FEE
Just remember that your application cannot be considered without both the audition video(s) and the application fee. So please be prepared to pay by credit card when you submit the application.
Note that tuition assistance is available but limited. Apply early to take fullest advantage of these awards.
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
